The Grill

Everyone knows that an essential to living in Arizona is a grill. It is basically grill weather all year long. We had left our grill back home in NC, and just didn't have the extra funds for one yet. 

So, we decided to begin our search on Craigslist. Myron went to look at this grill, and told the seller he would think about it. Right before bed, We noticed the seller had text us and said that God had told them to give us the grill! We couldn't believe it! Complete strangers! We politely told them we could not let them do that! They replied that it would be their honor to bless us! Wow! God is so good to us! A need? No. But He is kind to us, like a Good Dad, giving us some wants, too. Just because He loves us.

So, the past 2 days we have grilled hotdogs and hamburgers! We are loving it! On Tuesday, we got the grill. And on Wednesday, some extra stresses with our church hit us. It's no secret that church we came to help is broke. If it was fixed, we wouldn't be here. So, I think God's encouragement of, "I'm still here, let me encourage you" couldn't have come at a better time.

God is teaching us many things through this very hard journey filled with many thorns and very few roses. Thankful for the grill this week! Needed the grill? Probably not. Needed the encouragement? Yes!
