One of my goals on the blog is to go back and blog about fun memories that have not made it to the blog yet. So, we are going back to one of my favorite memories, my parents' visit to AZ back in October!
We LOVED their visit! They arrived in Phoenix on a Friday, just hours before Cohen's first birthday! They were able to stay until the next Sunday!
We enjoyed going to Bass Pro Shop on family night with our mom's group! I'm glad my parents got to meet many of our friends!
Even mom and dad got in on some fun at the arcades!
They were also here for crazy night in Awanas! They ran toWalgreens to get the boys some crazy color for their hair!!;)
Everytime mom comes, I always get her to play the piano to give me a break and to hear the best pianist in the world!!
One morning early, I looked out the window and Naya was in the fort, too!
We celebrated mom's birthday at our favorite place, "The Cheesecake Factory!" We had a great time!!
Happy Birthday, Mom! She doesn't look a day over 40!!
On one of mom's trips back from AZ she met a nice lady who lived in Scottsdale that owned an Arabian Horse Farm! The lady invited her to come sometime, so we did!!
We had the best time being farther out in the desert and looking at all the beautiful animals!!
On the way home, we stopped at my favorite park in Scottsdale to ride the train and carousel! What a fun day!
On mom and dad's last day before leaving, I just had to take them to our man-made beach at Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse! You have to be a member to get in, so thankfully my sweet friend, Holly, let us in!
We had the best time, in OCTOBER, watching the boys play in the water!
My dad did so many things around the house. I'm talking about the longest list you have ever seen. Of course the main reason he came was to see us and the boys, but he also came to help Myron around the house and church.
He held meetings at the church with our preschool director to see better ways to grow the school. He met with Myron on strategies to get the church out of debt and to find someone to lease our huge school building to make up the 14,000 morgtage payment! (Still praying and looking! The charter school that rents now is surprisingly breaking their 5 year contract after being here 3 years. Please pray.) My mom and dad were a huge blessing to us.
My parents were able to be here for our biggest Sunday so far, "Deep South Sunday!" My dad helped coordinate how much good we needed on that day because we had about 100 more than we thought!!!
The church was running in 60's when we came in June, so for a crowd of 232 just 4 months later blew our minds! Praise The Lord!
This is our sweet friend, Holly, who was the first person saved in June at church when we arrive. We just LOVE her and her family. Please pray that her husband, Dave, would be saved.
I'm not so sure I've seen my boys so sad as the night my parents left. They had to leave late Sunday night for an overnight flight. Evan just cried and cried, we all did. The hardest part about being in Arizona is to be this far from family- especially the grandparent. I'm so happy that we were able to make such fun memories!
